mw-headshot

Congratulations to Martin Wygas who has been named a rising star in private equity by Financial News / Private Equity News in their list of Top 40 under 40 in private equity. Martin, who was made partner earlier this year, has been with us since 2008.

The Cambridge University law graduate and former Travers Smith private equity lawyer hasn’t looked back since taking a six-month secondment to Lyceum Capital in 2008. Mr. Wygas stayed on to take an investment role at the mid-market U.K. private equity firm that has raised around £800 million in its past three funds. He became a partner in January 2016. With a reputation for being rigorous and straight talking, the keen cyclist has worked on five deals including the buyout of software company Access, which involved completing 18 bolt-on acquisitions before it was sold to TA Associates in 2015. Mr. Wygas also led the £30.5 million buyout of software provider TotalMobile in September 2015 and sits on the company’s board.
