Mark joined Lyceum in January 2016 and is a member of the Development Team. He has over 35 years’ management and operational experience with particular expertise in business services both in the UK and Internationally. Mark’s previous roles have included CEO of Speedy Hire PLC, Corporate Development Officer of Costain PLC and Group Operational Efficiency Director at Serco Group PLC. Mark is a Member of British Empire (MBE), and holds an MBA and MA in Defence and Strategic Studies from Kings College London.

Geoff joined Lyceum in February 2015 and is a member of the Development Team. He has over 25 years’ international corporate management experience with particular expertise in technology and business process outsourcing. Geoff is on the board of Carewatch, Sabio and TotalMobile. Geoff’s previous roles have included managing director of Sx3, chief executive of Admiral plc and senior executive positions at Fujitsu and Atos. Geoff holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Kings College London and is an INSEAD Alumni.

Jonathan joined Lyceum in October 2014 and works on sourcing and executing investments for Fund III. He joined from Baird where he was a Managing Director in its Global Investment Banking business leading coverage of financial sponsors across the UK and Continental Europe. For the prior 11 years, he was a partner at AAC Capital Partners, where he focussed on business service and leisure companies in the UK mid-market. He started his career in leveraged finance where he provided senior debt financing to a broad range of MBOs across Europe, working for both NatWest and Credit Suisse First Boston. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from Hull University. Jonathan is also on the board of EAT. and Coryton Advanced Fuels.

Martin is part of Lyceum Capital’s investment team sourcing, structuring and executing both platform and portfolio add-on acquisitions. Since joining the firm in January 2009, Martin has worked on five platform investments and has helped to complete over 20 add-on acquisitions for portfolio companies. He currently sits on the board of TotalMobile. Martin has a MA in Law from Cambridge and is a qualified solicitor with 13 years of deal experience.

Ian leads Lyceum Capital’s Origination team. Before joining the firm in 2008, he worked for Arbuthnot Securities and SG Hambros in Corporate Finance, focusing on M&A and capital markets transactions in the support services, healthcare, technology and transportation sectors. Ian holds a BSc in Politics and Economics from Bristol University.

Simon works on sourcing and executing investments for Lyceum Capital and currently sits on the boards of Sabio and Sequence Care. He also manages the firm’s investment team. Before joining Lyceum Capital in 2009, Simon spent seven years at Sovereign Capital and made investments in UK mid-sized growth companies. He has over 18 years’ experience investing in service sector and technology businesses, particularly those with buy and build strategies. Simon started his career with PwC Corporate Finance, where he qualified as a chartered accountant and he holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Bath.

Dan manages Lyceum Capital’s Origination team, sourcing and executing investments. He also sits on the board of Briefing Media and Isotrak. Before joining the firm in 2003, he spent six years at 3i, focusing on companies in the services and media industries. Dan qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC), and holds a Commerce degree from Birmingham University.

Jeremy co-founded Lyceum Capital and focuses on sourcing and executing investments. He currently sits on the boards of Bellrock and Style Research. Before Lyceum Capital, Jeremy was a founding shareholder and Partner at Duke Street Capital. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) and holds a joint degree in Computer Science and Accountancy from Manchester University, where he is also an honorary teaching fellow. Jeremy is a past chairman of the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA).

Philip co-founded Lyceum Capital and is the firm’s full-time Chairman. He chairs the Investment Committee and focuses on portfolio company development. Over the last 25 years he has worked in private equity and related M&A, corporate development and turnarounds in Europe and the US. Before founding Lyceum Capital, he developed and managed the European private equity operations at Investcorp. Philip has an MA in Economics from Magdalene College, Cambridge and qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse (now PwC).
Philip is also a member of the Tusk Trust development board, a charity that initiates and funds conservation, community development and environmental education programmes across Africa and is a member of The Samaritans advisory board.
Philip is chairman of Lyceum’s Supervisory Board and Investment Committee.
I founded the firm to provide smaller and mid-sized companies in the UK not only with capital, but also the business development and operations support that leads to accelerated growth.
Andrew leads the financing of all investments and is responsible for Lyceum Capital’s investor relations and fundraising. He also serves on the boards of EAT. and Sequence Care. Prior to joining Lyceum Capital in 1999, Andrew spent five years at PwC, where he advised clients on deals throughout Europe. Andrew qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse (now PwC) and holds a joint honours degree in French and German from Bradford University. He is a visiting speaker at the London Business School.
