Compact Media Group appointed by Revolution Studios

Compact Media Group, which is backed by Lyceum Capital, has signed an exclusive contract with Revolution Studios to manage the financial administration of its intellectual property rights.

The company will administer and collect audio-visual secondary rights revenues for Revolution Studios’ entire film and television catalogue to ensure it receives the maximum financial value from its contract rights. The studio’s library of films includes world famous titles, including 13 Going on 30 and Black Hawk Down.

In 2014, 41 percent of new clients signed by Compact Media Group were from North America, meaning one third of all the company’s clients are now head-quartered in the US and Canada.

David Johnson, CEO at Compact Media Group, said: “2014 saw Compact experience a significant surge in the number of North American rights-holders selecting us as their preferred collections agent.

“The growing number of major US companies enlisting Compact’s high quality services cements our position further as the world’s leading independent collections agent, entrusted by key players within the content industry to extract the best value from their intellectual property.”

Reny Montesinos, vice president of sales and clients relations, Compact Media Group, added: “Revolution Studios holds a vast and diverse amount of premium content, with 110 motion pictures and 240 television episodes to its name, and Compact is extremely proud to have been selected to ensure that it receives maximum financial value from its catalogue. Compact looks forward to working with the team at Revolution as they continue to expand their impressive library. ”

Established in 1996, Compact Media Group has achieved consistent growth around the world. It is now the world’s number one independent collection agent for retransmission and ancillary rights revenue.

Lyceum invested in Compact Media Group in 2010, helping it capitalise on the rising international demand for multi-jurisdiction rights management services.

Revolution Studio’s content will join more than 250,000 titles already included in Compact’s repertoire on behalf of over 700 of their clients around the world.
