Gehan is Non-Executive Chairman of Briefing Media.
Gehan’s expertise is in helping business people use data to make better decisions. He was CEO of Ascend, the leading provider of data, advice and analytics to the aviation finance industry. He expanded the business globally and quadrupled revenues before a successful exit to trade. A serial entrepreneur, he co-founded Hoover’s Online, eccelerate.com and Cognizant Technology Solutions; all of which made strong trade or public market exits.
He currently holds several non-executive chairman roles on both sides of the Atlantic. Gehan has an MBA and Master of International Affairs degrees from Columbia University (New York) and a BA (Honours) in Economics and Political Science from Swarthmore College (Pennsylvania).
Liz Joined Lyceum in 2017 and is our Front of House and is responsible for meeting and greeting guests.
Liz holds a GNVQ in Business and Administration.
Joe is a member of Lyceum’s Industrial Partners Group and has worked with Lyceum as a non-executive director and board advisor to Adapt (enterprise managed hosting) and is currently a non-executive director at Timico (managed cloud services), focussing primarily on sales development and market growth.
Over the last 30 years Joe has held a variety of sales and marketing leadership roles across the technology services sector. In 2002 he joined Atos where up until June 2013 he led the successful sales transformation of the UK business as executive director for sales and marketing. Prior to this, Joe was Cap Gemini’s board member for sales and marketing following 13 years at Hewlett Packard where he held a number of senior managerial positions.
Chris joined Lyceum Capital in 2017 as Head of Digital to help our portfolio companies take full advantage of digital technology to drive growth, awareness and customer retention.
With a primary focus on marketing and sales strategy, execution and systems – Chris works with each of the companies to build an effective demand generation approach.
Prior to joining Lyceum Capital, Chris was Chief Marketing Officer at Totalmobile. Chris holds a BSc in Computer Science and is a visiting speaker at Cranfield University.
Anthony joined Lyceum Capital in 2017 as principal with responsibility for deal flow from the North of England.
Anthony joins following 14 years working at Montagu Private Equity where he headed their Manchester office and was involved in several of Montagu’s successful investments in the region from origination through to execution, portfolio management and exit.
Anthony also previously worked at EY for six years latterly in their corporate finance department focusing on PE transactions. Anthony is a Chartered Accountant and has a First Class honours degree in Business Studies.
Lucy joined Lyceum Capital in January 2017 supporting two Partners and the Operations Team. Previously, Lucy spent over three years as Executive Assistant at Genius Sports Group supporting the CFO, she was part of a team that successfully completed numerous corporate transactions. Lucy also spent four years as a Marketing Executive, having gained a Marketing Management degree from Oxford Brookes University.
Laura is assistant to three of Lyceum’s Partners, an Investment Director and an Investment Manager. Prior to joining Lyceum Capital, she worked in clerking for a large Civil set of Barrister’s Chambers in Temple, London. Laura holds a degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Sheffield.
Luke joined Lyceum in 2016 and is a Director within the Origination team focused on sourcing new investment opportunities. Prior to this, Luke led and originated transactions within the Mid Market Leverage Finance team at RBS; the Investment team at Sovereign Capital and the Ernst & Young Business Services M&A team.
Luke is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of ICAS.

Charlotte joined Lyceum in 2016 and works for the Finance Director and several Executives. Charlotte has a PA Diploma from Oxford Media and Business School.
Martin joined Lyceum in 2016 as a principal working on developing relationships and deal opportunities for the firm in the Midlands. Previously he spent over 30 years at Lloyds Bank latterly as head of its Acquisition Finance team in Birmingham. During Martin’s time at Lloyds Bank he funded a broad range of leveraged finance deals, including buy outs, acquisitions and P2Ps. Martin is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and holds an MA in Modern History from Oxford University.
Regina joined in June 2016 and is responsible for Lyceum’s Marketing and PR strategy to help communicate and define the Lyceum brand. Before joining the firm in 2016, Regina has gained over 10 years’ experience within the financial services sector, translating ideas into clear communications that help achieve business goals.
Previous positions include Head of Marketing & Communications at B2B trading technology and connectivity provider Ullink, and at Tradition, the global interdealer broker.
She has 12 years’ experience in the leveraged finance market, joining Lyceum Capital after nine years at European Capital where she was an Investment Director in the Private Debt team. Anne-Claire has arranged and structured mid-market UK and European company financings in the business services, healthcare and retail sectors, having previously also spent 3 years structuring large private equity deals in the Leveraged Finance team of Lehman Brothers.
Anne-Claire holds a post-graduate diploma from University Paris IX-Dauphine and is a native French speaker.
Lindsay has worked with Lyceum on several investments and is currently a non-executive director of Coryton Advanced Fuels.
Lindsay focuses on the B2B and industrial services sectors, and has spent 12 years in various senior executive roles with Tyco Inc, including as Managing Director of Tyco Electronic Systems and Regional CEO of Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions. He has also held senior executive roles within manufacturing, logistics, support services and engineering services businesses, including as CEO of Seacon Group and Chairman of Sustainable Advantage.
Mike focuses on the operational performance of portfolio companies, working with management teams to plan & execute projects. Prior to joining Lyceum Capital Mike spent two years at Speedy Hire Plc, focusing on Strategy & Change across the international business; building on a previous role at Serco Consulting, working predominantly with public sector contracts & transitions. Mike holds a B.Sc. in Business & Economics from the University of Sussex.
Tom is part of Lyceum Capital’s investment team focusing on sourcing, structuring and executing both platform and portfolio add-on acquisitions. Prior to joining the firm in April 2016, he spent over 4 years at Spayne Lindsay working on M&A deal execution with corporate and private equity clients primarily in the consumer sector. Tom holds a first class degree in History and French from Bristol University and is a merit holder of the ICAEW/CISI Diploma in Corporate Finance.
Anne-Sofie focuses on sourcing and executing investments for Lyceum Capital. Before joining the firm in 2016, she spent three years at Advent International where she focused on investments in Business and Financial Services and TMT. Prior to Advent International, Anne-Sofie worked at J.P. Morgan’s Investment Bank advising clients in the Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors on M&A and Capital Markets transactions. Anne-Sofie holds a B.Sc. in International Business and an M.Sc. in Finance and Accounting from Copenhagen Business School.
Julia is responsible for co-ordinating Lyceum Capital’s Investor Relations and Fundraising activities and is Office Manager. Julia has worked in private equity for most of her career and supported Jonathan Bourn when they both worked at AAC Capital Partners. Julia holds a LLB (Hons) degree in Law with Criminology from the University of East London.
Matt joined Lyceum in December 2015 and is a member of the Origination and Research team. Before joining the firm, Matt spent 2 years at Preqin working on private equity research and with the commercial team. He holds an Economics and Politics degree from the University of Exeter.
Mark joined Lyceum in January 2016 and is a member of the Development Team. He has over 35 years’ management and operational experience with particular expertise in business services both in the UK and Internationally. Mark’s previous roles have included CEO of Speedy Hire PLC, Corporate Development Officer of Costain PLC and Group Operational Efficiency Director at Serco Group PLC. Mark is a Member of British Empire (MBE), and holds an MBA and MA in Defence and Strategic Studies from Kings College London.
Mark is a member of Lyceum’s Management Board and Investment Committee.
Bill is Principal of McCall & Partners, a corporate finance advisory business, and has worked with Lyceum for more than a decade. He has particular expertise around exits and focuses on the B2B services sector. He has been Chairman of four Lyceum-backed companies; M&C Energy, Compact Media, Leasedrive Velo and Asquith Nurseries.
Bill was an Individual Member of the London Stock Exchange, is Vice President of the Chartered Banker Institute and a Fellow of the Chartered Securities Institute.
Martin was Chairman of Clearswift a global cyber software vendor backed by Lyceum in 2011, Leathwaite an international talent specialist and Latimer, a youth media business.
As Group CEO, he grew IRIS Software to become one of the UK’s largest private software house, increasing Enterprise Value from £30m to £500m through three MBOs backed by LDC, Hg Capital and Hellman and Friedman. He is an Enterprise Fellow of the Princes Trust and investor in a variety of digital social businesses. Awards include EY Entrepreneur of the Year (Communications & Technology category 2006) and the Maserati 100, recognising entrepreneurs who give back to support the next generation. He has a degree in Management Sciences from Manchester University.
Gerry is an experienced chairman with deep expertise across the B2B services sector. He is currently Chairman of Bellrock, a facilities management company backed by Lyceum. Previously he was Executive Chairman of M&C Energy, a Lyceum portfolio company that was sold to Schneider Electric in 2012.
Prior to his work for Lyceum, Gerry spent 14 years as the Managing Director of Bodycote Testing Group, where he was a member of the Plc board and responsible for leading over 50 add-on acquisitions. Gerry was also a director of Select Pharmaceutical Ltd which was sold to trade on a 240x money multiple.
David holds a number of non-executive positions with private-equity backed businesses.
For Lyceum, David is currently a non-executive director of Style Research and was previously a Lyceum-appointed non-executive director at two realised Lyceum portfolio companies: Access Group (enterprise software) and Clearswift (cyber security software).
He has more than 20 years’ experience in senior roles at a range of software and technology services businesses, including Computer Software Group, Solution 6 Group and Tyco International.
David has significant experience of performance improvement, M&A and international growth, and he has particular expertise in the field of sales and marketing processes.
David holds a degree in Economics from Cambridge University.
Gareth is a member of Lyceum’s Supervisory Board and an adviser to the Investment Committee.
Gareth has chaired many private equity-owned companies and has particular expertise in the software and technology services sectors. Most recently he was Chairman of Access Group, an enterprise software company backed by Lyceum until it was sold to TA Associates in 2015.
Gareth started his career at P&G, before moving to IBM, where he was a director and board member of IBM UK and IBM Financial Services. He has also held senior executive roles within a number of technology and support services businesses, including as CEO of Rebus HR Group, where he grew EBITDA from £6 million to £14 million and sold the business to Northgate I.S.
He holds an honours degree in Physics from the University of Wales.
Adam focuses on sourcing and executing new platform investments and add-on opportunities for Lyceum Capital’s portfolio companies. Before joining the firm in 2012, he spent four years at NBGI Private Equity where he focused on investments in mid-sized businesses. Prior to that his background was in strategy consulting at Deloitte. Adam sits on the board of Bellrock and Churchesfire and he holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Bath.

Alice joined Lyceum Capital in 2012 and is Assistant to various members of the team including two of Lyceum’s Partners and an Investment Director.
Alistair is part of Lyceum Capital’s investment team sourcing, structuring and executing both platform and portfolio add-on acquisitions. Before joining the firm in 2015, he spent over four years at KPMG working in Corporate Finance and Audit, where he worked with mid-market industrial, retail and construction companies. Alistair is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BA in Economics from the University of Exeter.
Geoff joined Lyceum in February 2015 and is a member of the Development Team. He has over 25 years’ international corporate management experience with particular expertise in technology and business process outsourcing. Geoff is on the boards of Sabio, Timico and Wireless Innovation. Geoff’s previous roles have included managing director of Sx3, chief executive of Admiral plc and senior executive positions at Fujitsu and Atos. Geoff holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Kings College London and is an INSEAD Alumni.
Geoff is a member of Lyceum’s Management Board and Investment Committee.
Jonathan joined Lyceum in October 2014 and works closely with portfolio investments to help drive growth, execute add-on acquisitions and build value. Jonathan joined from Baird where he was a Managing Director in its Global Investment Banking business leading coverage of financial sponsors across the UK and Continental Europe.
For the prior 11 years, he was a partner at AAC Capital Partners, where he focused on business service and leisure companies in the UK mid-market. He started his career in leveraged finance where he provided senior debt financing to a broad range of MBOs across Europe, working for both NatWest and Credit Suisse First Boston. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from Hull University.
Jonathan sits on the board of EAT., Coryton Advanced Fuels, Carewatch and Sequence Care.
Steve is Chairman of Lyceum-backed Carewatch, a leading national provider of home care services.
Steve has previously spent a decade as FD, COO, CEO and Divisional Chairman with private equity-backed Saga group and the AA, including the highly successful Saga MBO in 2007. He is also Chairman of Post Office Managed Services and Avantia Group. Prior to this Steve held director level positions at Marks & Spencer, Treatt plc and Hillsdown Holdings.
Steve holds an Engineering degree from Liverpool University.
Dan supports portfolio companies’ performance management, improvement and strategic business development. Before joining the firm in 2013 he worked for Lonrho plc, Freemantle Media and Temenos Group. Dan qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte and holds a BSc Honours degree in Economics from the University of Warwick.
Martin is part of Lyceum Capital’s investment team sourcing, structuring and executing both platform and portfolio add-on acquisitions. Since joining the firm in January 2009, Martin has worked on more than 20 software & technology platform and add-on investments. He currently sits on the board of Totalmobile. Martin has a MA in Law from Cambridge and is a qualified solicitor with over 15 years of deal experience.

Ian leads Lyceum Capital’s Origination team and is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities. Ian joined the Firm in 2008 and together with his team identifies UK headquartered businesses in Lyceum’s core sector focus: B2B services and technology. Ian and the team also help to identify potential add-on acquisitions for Lyceum’s portfolio companies, an important part of the Firm’s buy and build strategy.
Before joining Lyceum, he worked for Arbuthnot Securities and SG Hambros in Corporate Finance, focusing on M&A and capital markets transactions in the support services, healthcare, technology and transportation sectors. Ian holds a BSc in Politics and Economics from Bristol University.

Simon works on sourcing and executing investments for Lyceum Capital and currently sits on the boards of Sabio, Sequence Care, Timico and Wireless Innovation. He also manages the firm’s investment team. Before joining Lyceum Capital in 2009, Simon spent seven years at Sovereign Capital and made investments in UK mid-sized growth companies. He has over 18 years’ experience investing in service sector and technology businesses, particularly those with buy and build strategies. Simon started his career with PwC Corporate Finance, where he qualified as a chartered accountant and he holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Bath.

Jeremy co-founded Lyceum Capital and focuses on sourcing and executing investments. He currently sits on the board of Style Research. Before Lyceum Capital, Jeremy was a founding shareholder and Partner at Duke Street Capital. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) and holds a joint degree in Computer Science and Accountancy from Manchester University, where he is also an honorary teaching fellow. Jeremy is a past chairman of the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA).

Philip co-founded Lyceum Capital and is the firm’s full-time Chairman. He chairs the Investment Committee and focuses on portfolio company development. Over the last 25 years he has worked in private equity and related M&A, corporate development and turnarounds in Europe and the US. Before founding Lyceum Capital, he developed and managed the European private equity operations at Investcorp. Philip has an MA in Economics from Magdalene College, Cambridge and qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse (now PwC).
Philip is also a member of the Tusk Trust development board, a charity that initiates and funds conservation, community development and environmental education programmes across Africa and is a member of The Samaritans advisory board.
Philip is chairman of Lyceum’s Supervisory Board and Investment Committee.
I founded the firm to provide smaller and mid-sized companies in the UK not only with capital, but also the business development and operations support that leads to accelerated growth.
Andrew leads the financing of all investments and is responsible for Lyceum Capital’s investor relations and fundraising. He also serves on the boards of EAT. and Carewatch. Prior to joining Lyceum Capital in 1999, Andrew spent five years at PwC, where he advised clients on deals throughout Europe. Andrew qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse (now PwC) and holds a joint honours degree in French and German from Bradford University. He is a visiting speaker at the London Business School.

Jeremy is Lyceum Capital’s Finance Director, responsible for financial monitoring and reporting. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, he worked for a hedge fund for three years. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC and holds an MA in Classics from Trinity College, Oxford.

Sophie joined the firm in 2007 and is responsible for Lyceum’s Talent Management programme, which involves identifying and interacting with best-in-class management candidates across a variety of sectors and markets. In addition, she also manages Lyceum’s internal recruitment efforts. Sophie holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Sheffield.

Tom focuses on sourcing and executing new platform investments and add-on opportunities for Lyceum Capital’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining in 2015, he spent four years at CIL Management Consultants where he managed commercial due diligence assignments for mid-market private equity firms and provided post-investment strategic advice to portfolio businesses. In 2017 Tom was named one of the rising stars shaping the future of private equity by Real Deals magazine.
Tom holds an MA in Music from the University of Cambridge and a management degree from the Judge Business School, Cambridge.
