Peter Aughterson
Industrial Partner
As Chief Executive of Asquith Court between 1993 and 2002, Peter was principally responsible for building the company into the UK's largest privately owned childcare and education group.
Since late 2000, he has worked closely with Lyceum Capital - first in leading the buy-out of the Asquith Group and subsequently in overseeing a number of add-on acquisitions. In December 2004, he was actively involved in the sale of Asquith Schools, owner of 19 leading independent schools in and around the South East of England. In June 2005, Peter relinquished his full time role, but he remains on the Board of Asquith's parent company and retains a significant equity investment.
Before working with Asquith, Peter had broad experience in buying, selling and building successful businesses. He was an equity partner at Talisman, a small private equity boutique based in London, and in the 1980's worked in both Bain and Guinness before becoming Managing Director of Personal Storage - one of the UK's earliest self-storage companies.
Peter graduated in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University in 1984.
