Phillip Rhodes

In 2001, Phillip worked alongside Lyceum Capital in assessing opportunities in the education market and helped Lyceum in its acquisition of Asquith Court. From 1995, he built up a successful chain of children's day nurseries in London.  Phillip was appointed Chairman of Asquith when it was acquired by Lyceum, and became its Chief Executive in 2002. Following the appointment of Russell Ford as CEO in 2005, Phillip resumed the chairmanship.  In April 2006, Phil retired and Bill McCall became Group Chairman. 

Before joining Asquith Court, Phillip was Chairman of Workspace Group Plc, the specialist property investment company. He had earlier held executive and non-executive main board positions at M-R Group plc, Thorn Lighting Group plc and BET plc, with previous senior operational and financial roles at Guinness plc and Glaxo Holdings plc.

Phillip qualified as a Chartered Accountant and spent three years with Whinney Murray, which became part of Ernst & Young.
