National Britannia Group ("NBG") is a leading UK specialist in Safety, Health and Environmental ("SHE") risk management consultancy generating turnover approaching �50 million. NBG provides risk management services in six specialist fields: Food safety, Occupational health and training, Asbestos monitoring, Health & Safety, Information services, Construction industry health & safety.
Its clients include a wide range of blue chip companies and public sector organisations, including the Health & Safety Executive ("HSE") and other UK government departments. NBG's services enable clients to monitor and control exposure to SHE risk, meet with all current legislative requirements, improve business process and reduce insurance and other compliance costs.
NBG provides clients with interactive access to its proprietary web-based, real-time SHE monitoring and compliance IT system ('e-risk Manager'). This stores client SHE data, matches legislative and best practice changes against client systems and then updates and monitors the client's risk management profile against an increasingly complex SHE regulatory framework. NBG provides SHE audits and advises clients on the appropriate systems, controls, procedures and policies to optimise risk management.
NBG also operates the Information Service call centre on behalf of its largest public sector client, the HSE.
The Group's Head Office is located in Caerphilly, South Wales and it operates six regional offices around the UK employing 780 people.
In 2007, NBG was sold for �91 million to Connaught Plc. Over the course of our ownership, NBG acquired eight additional companies in a variety of sectors including Occupational Health, Food Safety and H&S Training.
