Lyceum Capital invests in leading mid-sized UK business and consumer services. We are one of the few private equity firms dedicated to this area that will provide the operational support and capital to help management pursue fast growth.
The 300 million Fund 2000 currently holds investments in a number of sectors, including healthcare, education, business outsourcing, industrial systems & services, IT and environmental risk management consultancy. The Fund, established in 2000, has returned 203m to fund investors and co-investors from exit and recapitalisation (June 2006).
Working closely alongside outstanding management teams, we work to transform companies into market leaders. We do this by supporting management with investment to implement business improvement programmes and by providing additional capital to acquire or build further complementary businesses so as to accelerate growth and create value.
Our experienced team, which is based in London, and, supported by our industrial partners, not only arranges growth capital, but can provide advice and guidance where required. We draw upon practical experience of running, investing in and developing businesses, enabling our companies to compete more effectively and to grow more rapidly.
The 10 platform businesses that Lyceum has acquired or created since 2000 have made a further 33 add-on acquisitions to date, creating a portfolio that is well positioned to achieve strong growth.
"Lyceum were hugely supportive throughout the deal process. We worked very much as a team. It was a very steep learning curve for me, and the deal itself was quite tortuous, but without Lyceum's expertise and involvement in the deal, I don't think it would have happened."
